Christmas Blessing From The Burnham Family 2009
Luke 2:11 “For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord”

20 years of marriage! Bruce and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary on September 23rd. Holy cow, where does the time go! Bruce is in his 15th year and San Fernando Middle School, still playing soccer, football, basketball, ultimate Frisbee, handball, and sometimes even tag, with the kids, I guess it keeps him young. This is Bruce’s 2nd year coaching the girls club soccer team, and he is still of course playing soccer with his outdoor team, The Bulldogs. I feel like I write the same thing for me every year, so here it goes: Still home schooling the girls, still going to Tuesday morning Bible study, still bowling on Wednesday morning and still happily being Bruce’s wife and Kayla and Kami’s mom!

Kayla 14 years old! Kayla turned 14 on October 21st and is in the 9th grade.
HIGH SCHOOL! What the heck, what about my baby…Not much has changed with Kayla since last year, well her hair color, but only for the summer. Kayla had hot pink streaks in her hair and loved every minute of them. This past winter and summer Kayla traveled with The Mr. J Band and Kid Possible Ministries, where she sang and played the keyboard. So her hair fit in well with her life on the road with “the band”. Music is on the top of Kayla’s list, she is still taking piano and voice and this summer she taught herself how to play the guitar. She is borrowing a guitar from Mr. Brainerd while she pays off the one she put on layaway. Texting and hanging out with her friends is also on top of her list. Bruce and I are very happy that God is a priority and is number 1 on her list, and somewhere on that list school work gets in the mix.

Kami 11 years old! Kami turned 11 on April 29th and is in the 7th grade.
WHERE DID OUR LITTLE KAMSTER GO…Kami is quite the character, one of a kind that Kami is. I put last year in my letter that Kami is our go to gal when we need something done, well nothing has changed, in fact her nick-name is Assistant Manager. Let me tell you that is not for long she is moving up the latter quickly and before you know she will be running the whole show. Besides her managerial skills she is a witty little kid with a great scene of humor, she keeps us on our toes that’s for sure. She loves playing on her soccer team and scoring goals, and LOVES her teammates very much. Of course texting and friends is a top priority for Kami and like her big sis God is number 1 on her list as well. School work, well, when Kami is not busy taking care of her managerial duties she gets school in.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas, Bruce, Michelle, Kayla & Kami

Merry Christmas from the Burnhams 2008

"And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins." Matthew 1:21

Bruce - is in his 14th year at San Fernando Middle School and believe it or not he still likes Jr. High age kids...amazing. He has gone back to coaching club soccer and is currently coaching for A.C. Milan girls under 11 and girls under 13, which conveniently enough our girls play on. Bruce loves coaching but more than that he loves coaching his daughters. He is still playing on the Bulldogs, his men's over 30 outdoor team.

Michelle - same as last year; still homeschooling the girls, still going to Bible Study Tuesday morning, still bowling Wednesday mornings, still on Jr. High staff at Grace Baptist Church, still driving the girls around from place to place, in dare I say my mini-van, and still loving every minute of it.

Kayla- turned 13 on October 21 and is in the 8th grade...an official teenager!!! Kayla is playing club soccer and loving her coach (i have a crush on him) and all her teammates. She is singing in two choirs and is playing the piano and singing in the Jr. High worship band at church. She also played in the Santa Clarita Valley Youth Orchestra this summer. If you ask what her favorite things are she will tell you "God, church, friends, ipod, soccer and TEXTING..." Between soccer, piano, choir, voice lessons, and church activities, (AWANA, youth group, shepherding group) she manages to get school in there.

Kami - turned 10 on April 29 and is in the 6th grade...Jr. High next year!!! Kami is also playing club soccer and loving her coach (i have a crush on him too) and loves all her teammates as well. Kami is singing in the 5-6th grade choir at church as well as continuing with piano lessons, with every intention of becoming a drummer. Little miss Kami is also a greater at Church as well as working in the Guest Center, so if you ever get the chance to stop by Grace Baptist Church be looking out for a cute little 10 1/2 year old to welcome you. So as the story goes between soccer, piano, choir, and all her activities at church, (AWANA, girls of grace, greeting, guest center) she manages to get school in there.
We pray all is going well with you, and we would love to hear from you all...Have a Blessed Christmas and Grace To You!!!

Kayla's club soccer team had a pot-luck dinner and then some of the adults took the kids out trick-or-treating. It was fun seeing all the kids dressed up and everybody hanging out together. Kayla went as a bride and Kami was her flower girl, and Bruce was a hockey player.

Kami along with some of her club soccer team mates, ran the 5K on Nov. 2. It was the first time Kami ever ran 3.1 miles, she ran it in 33 min. Not bad for her first time out.
These picture are from Kayla's 13th Birthday Party. She had 22 of her closest friends come and celebrate with her at her bowling party. Everyone had tons of fun. I can't believe Kayla is 13.
